About the Event
Biofluorescence is one of nature’s hidden wonders! Encounter an invisible natural world on an exclusive night-time adventure and experience nature in a whole new light. We’ll explore and discover a different perspective on nature as creatures, plants and fungi glow in the dark – revealing colours not visible during daylight!
This walk is aimed at a family audience. Join us as we make new discoveries together in this new and emerging conservation technique. Not to be missed!
After sunset we will head off to explore an unseen natural world. Nature is never predictable, but highlights could include the wonderful fungi we have at the reserve. The route will be approximately one and a half hours through woodland and meadows with lots of stopping points.
This event will use UV torch light to view nature at night, so is only suitable for children of 8 years old and over. If you have a high sensitivity to light, please take this into account when deciding to book this event and please inform staff upon booking. Safety glasses will be available and must be used during the event. UV torches will be issued to adults only.
Please wear long clothing, good sturdy footwear and bring waterproofs.
Please bring a small normal torch with you, as it will be dark.
