About the Event
Join us at RSPB Arne for a breathtaking Winter Solstice experience, as seen on BBC Springwatch.
Celebrate the shortest day of the year in one of Dorset’s most peaceful and beautiful landscapes. The winter solstice marks the official beginning of winter – the longest night and the moment when the days slowly begin to lengthen once again.
This special guided walk offers the perfect opportunity to connect with nature at a powerful point in the seasonal calendar. As we make our way through RSPB Arne’s ancient woodland and sweeping heathland, you’ll experience the stillness of the reserve at first light and enjoy stunning views across Poole Harbour as the sun rises and gently lights the landscape.
The walk begins at 7:00am and follows a relaxed route toward the shoreline in time to witness the sunrise. Throughout the morning, our guide will share stories and insights about the wildlife and habitats that make Arne such a remarkable place.
Take this chance to slow down, embrace the quiet beauty of winter and mark the solstice in a truly memorable way.
